An AI recovery companion on WhatsApp, built around the approach of recovery coach Danie van Kay — there for her clients between sessions, with long-term memory and voice.
Recovery doesn’t only happen in coaching sessions. Danie’s clients needed support in the moments in between — late in the evening, after a hard day, when an old pattern shows up.
The challenge was building something genuinely helpful for a sensitive topic: warm and personal, consistent with Danie’s method, aware of each client’s journey — and with clear boundaries about what an AI should and shouldn’t do.
We built AiDanie as a companion that lives where clients already are:
